It’s amazing how many so-called “Grilles” and “Bistros” have proliferated around the Bay area in the last couple of years. What’s not so amazing is that for the past 10 years, the original Bay area Bistro has been quietly establishing itself as the one to emulate. Bobby’s Bistro & Wine Bar opened in 1994, and set about redefining nouveau, or what some call, California cuisine. For the casual connoisseur, we call it a light approach to the consumption & enjoyment of good food and wines. You’ll soon know what the Bay area and a lot of the rest of world knows.
