Soy Ginger Sauce

Yields 3 Quarts
Ingredients for Soy Ginger Sauce
3 1/2 cup of Soy Sauce
5 cup Water
4 cup Granulated Sugar
1/2 cup Sesame Oil
1/4 cup roasted Garlic
2 tbsp Ginger, freshly minced
1 cup Corn Starch
8 oz Water
Method for Soy Ginger Sauce
• In a heavy duty sauce pot, place the soy sauce, 5 cups of water, sesame oil, sugar, garlic and ginger.
• Bring to a boil, stirring often. Reduce heat by half. Continue to cook for an additional 10 minutes. Remove from heat.
• Separately, mix together the corn starch and 8 oz. of water to form a thickening paste. Slowly add the paste to the sauce until you reach the desired thickness.
• Pour the sauce into a plastic container. Label, date, chill and refrigerate.
