The family and descendants of Major Boone were influential in the history of South Carolina, the colonies and the nation. In 1743, the son of Major John Boone planted live oak trees, arranging them in two evenly spaced rows. This spectacular approach to his home symbolizes southern heritage and will take root in your memory for many years to come. It would take two centuries for the massive, moss-draped branches to meet overhead, forming today’s natural corridor and a scene that NBC Daytime television says is “a must see stop on any trip to Charleston, S.C.” Boone Hall has also been recognized as the #1 Plantation in the Charleston Area by USA TODAY 10BEST.

In accordance with current regulations and to encourage appropriate social distancing to slow the spread of Covid-19, our taproom is currently open limited hours.

We’re offering plenty of to-go options including crowlers, growlers (both BYO and glass for purchase), 12 and 16 ounce cans, and even a small selection of bottles. We have curbside pickup options available as well. Our courtyard and warehouse taproom are open for on-premise service by the pint, and we’re set up to make social distancing as easy as possible with clearly marked entrances and exits, one-way traffic through interior spaces, and ample spacing between tables – we know it’s awkward sometimes and feels unnatural, so we’ve made it as easy as possible!
