Braised Pork with Bell Peppers & Tomatoes

INGREDIENTS

Ingredients for Braised Pork
5 lb Pork Picnic, cut into 6 oz portions
2 tbsp Basil
1 tbsp Oregano
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Sage, rubbed
2 tbsp Salt
2 tbsp Pepper
1 tbsp Onion Powder
4-6 oz Oil, to brown
8-10 oz Flour, to dredge

Ingredients for Sauce
1 Red Bell Pepper, large diced
1 Yellow Bell Pepper, large diced
1 Green Bell Pepper, large diced
1 Yellow Onion, quartered
3 oz Garlic, minced
2 cup White Wine
1 qt Chicken Stock
2 cup Tomatoes, diced
1 bunch Basil, whole & fresh
1 tbsp Granulated Sugar

Method for Braised Pork

• Rub pork pieces with the spices listed. Coat with all-purpose flour.
• Brown pork in oil blend in a medium pot. Once browned, remove to an oven safe dish.
• Place in a 350 degree oven while you prepare the braising liquid.
